FIGHTER INFORMATION/AGREEMENTS

Hi and thank you heaps for being part of our upcoming show. We hope to have a massive night full of great fights, professional and fair judging, great sportsmanship and a chance to showcase your skills against your opponent.

First we have a couple of things we require from you, these are so that we all know what is expected and double checks everybody is on the same page,

This is a basic agreement outlining what we require from you and your gym and what we will provide.

1. WHAT WE FROM YOU (The Fighter/Gym) 

This outlines what is expected of you the fighter/coach in relation to promoting the show in the weeks leading up to the event. If we are paying you as a pro fighter, or simply providing flights and accomadation we expect that you will promote tickets sales and any PPV broadcasts weekly in the 6 weeks leading up to the show. Failure to do so (for pro fights) will affect your purse by 10% each week this is missed. Feel free to add Muay Thai Royale and Lucky Nine Gym as colab partners.

(2). WITHDRAWL FROM FIGHTS: 

  • Should you withdraw from the scheduled match within 42 days of the event:

  • Our costs to be reimbursed should you withdraw from the show within 42 days due to; Stand down due to fighting or sparring, any criminal conviction, family emergency (outside 7 days of scheduled fight), failure to train, missing safety weight checks or missing weight, sickness or injury. This includes any costs for belts ordered for this fight and promotional expenses. Any tickets sold to supporters will not be reimbursed. They can be resold at the fighters responsibility, we can also assist with this. Opponent pulling out and not accepting a suitable opponent change (outside 14 days of the scheduled date). If you withdraw in these circumstances you will be expected to reimburse any flights, promotional and title belt costs if applicable, supporter tickets and costs will not be reimbursed by us. 

  • Where we can, we will be booking flights with the ability to cancel or change dates, in which case the additional fee for “upsizing” flights or name changes to allow for these conditions will be covered by the fighter/gym (both North and South Island) rather than the whole flight cost. This will also include the opponents’ flights if we cannot rematch them. If flights can not be booked with ability to cancel then the full cost of the fighters coach and fighter will be reimbursed and the opponents flights where a suitable opponent cant be found. Any tickets or costs to supporters will not be refunded by us.

  • Where both fighters have withdrawn within 42 days of the scheduled match, and one or either cannot be rematched, The cost of any flights, title belts and promotional costs will be split equally by both teams. The promotor must provide actual payment invoices/details of money spent however. 

  • Determining a suitable opponent will be done by the sanctioning body rankings team rather than the promoter alone. If they deem no opponent suitable then no costs will be sought.

  • Any International travel where we cannot book flights with the ability to cancel, or change flights we will cover 50% of the loss of flights costs with the outstanding 50% to be covered by the team who have withdrawn. 

  • Where show dates are changed due to public emergency fighters will be expected to be available, any change in date will be no longer than 3 months from original date. This will be looked at case by case also where other future fights are already in place.

(3). WHAT WE WILL COVER AND ENSURE:

  • To ensure comfortable accommodation for 1 coach and the fighters of each gym, South Island fighters are also able to use video weigh ins, in non title fights.

  • To provide travel costs of $25/100kms travelled for each team including return for one vehicle for gyms in the South Island. This will be paid within 14 days of the shows completion.

  • Flights and accommodation for 1 coach and the fighters from each gym, where travelling outside of the South Island. 

  • We will schedule 1 Van pick up and drop off for fighters and coaches flying in to christchurch and try to do our best to have flights arriving and departing at similar times. If this doesnt suit, any rental vehicles are at fighters teams expense. 

  • To promote all fighters and share any positive social's we are tagged in, to positively promote fighters and gyms to potential sponsors

  • To ensure professional judging, medical staff, safety of fighters and appeals processes.

  • To pay all professional fight agreements within 14 days of the completion of the fight.

  • To ensure all fight and show information is made available for fighters and supporters.

  • A high quality promotion, lighting and sound at a professional standard. 

  • To promote any fighters sponsors through out the shows promotion and at the event.

I have read the MTR Fighter Form and agree to all the expectations listed, including if I withdraw from the show.
I understand that any damage to accomadation, extra guests, is at my cost

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION & LINKS

TICKETS ON SALE 2 APRIL 2024: Please let your mates know that there is only 1 VIP area of 100 people, this is the only licenced area, so dont leave getting tickets to the last minute, we have sold out every show since 2017.

The rest of the venue is General Admission grandstand, seated or standing and ALCOHOL FREE.

WEIGH INS:

5pm sharp at Lucky Nine Gym, Timaru.

DO NOT BE LATE OR YOU WILL BE DEEMED OVERWEIGHT.

You will require your Hep B, Hep C and HIV blood tests with you at the weigh in, Medicals will be completed before weighing in. Missing weight will be subject to WBC protocols for missing weight. This includes all safety weight checks at 1 month and 2 weeks from scheduled fight (this applies to all title fights) 

The fighter brief will be done at Lucky Nine Gym, this will also be livestreamed for those doing video weigh ins. 

 

FIGHT DAY: 

Fighters and cornerstaff must be at the venue at 3pm latest. Those who have used video weigh in must do medical checks once arrived. 

There will be no fight brief at the show.

SHOW STARTS: 4:15 an usher will bring you to the waiting area at the start of the fight prior. They will check to ensure you have your mouth guard and groin protection on at this time. 

POST FIGHT: Please proceed directly to the medics table near the changing room straight after your fight. We will have a DR on site for any stitches etc. 

CORNER PASSES: 

There will be 1 pass per fighter and two corner passes per gym. These are the ONLY people allowed in the fighters prep and changing areas. In no circumstances are Male team members allowed in areas where female fighters are getting changed. Likewise Male fighters must use an area away from female fighters when securing groin protection.

 

The show is also SMOKE/VAPE FREE. This show will be family friendly, so please use appropriate language when in the public forum. 

PAY PER VIEW: The show will be live streamed via CSN Combat Sports Network

AFTERPARTY: Our plan is to have the after party in the VIP area after the show untill 10:30pm. There will be free entry to Fighters 18+ and their 2 corner staff. We trust that you will be responsible and not drink if you have had any serious head trauma. Our staff will be monitoring for this as well. We would prefer fighters to not drink at all post fight for 48 hours. 

THE AFTER PARTY IS FORMAL DRESS SO PLEASE IF YOU WISH TO ENTER, DRESS TIDY, NO HOODIES, HATS Or STILLETTOS.

Ladies, we will have an area set up at the venue where you can get changed and do make up etc to save you having to backwards and forwards to your accomadation, so feel free to bring what you will need.
